This term we currently have 40% of all tamariki attending school 90% or more of the time. This is 4 out of 5 days each week.
Daily attendance is important for tamariki to make the most of learning opportunities and build strong relationships with their peers and staff at school.
Some of the absence has been due to illness and justifiable reasons for absence. Of concern continues to be the number of parents/whānau that are not contacting us about absences and those we cannot contact and those whose absence is below 80%.
If your tamariki is absent from school please contact the office through the parent app, email, the school website or call the school. If we don’t receive notification tamariki will be marked as truant.
